Thus we are introduced to the soul of Savitri, the Avatara. She is the Divine become human, who has come to take upon herself the burden of humanity. She has come to change the law of Death that afflicts all creatures upon Earth. This change does not mean a cessation of Death as we shall see later, but man’s mastery over Death. Instead of being a blind process beyond our control, it should be a conscious choice, a conscious withdrawal with the full ascent of our will, a conscious change over and not a dark wall through which we pass blindfolded as we now do in our present state of Ignorance. Instead of being a puppet in the hands of death and at the mercy of Fate, we should be masters of our destiny and determine the events and circumstances through which our life must run. Instead of accepting blindly the state of imperfection we live in, we must be born to the Light and Truth that dwells within us and live by the Delight that is the very stuff of things. This is the work and mission of Savitri. She has come to rescue man from the giant ignorance which surrounds us here so that we may live consciously in the Truth and Delight of the Divine rather than in our Ignorance and Unconsciousness.
A colossal black serpent guards the treasures of the vital world. It only yields to those who master humanity’s sexual impulse.
