Death contemptuously agrees to grant few boons to Savitri nothing her wisdom and strength. However he is unwilling the give back Satyavan. Savitri asks him to grant her all that Satyavan ever desired for himself.

Now the three (Savitri, Death and the Soul of Satyavan) turn towards the dull and heavy atmosphere of earthly realities that are now buried in the ruins of Time. All the images and moods now point towards this change.

Death now enters the realm of collective subconscious where the records of past events are kept. He shows here how ideals, systems, creeds, revolutions, philosophies have ended. He once again questions the possibility of ever changing the law of earth.

The gospel of death is essentially the gospel of the Mind that sees the mind as the ultimate power. Not knowing what lies beyond it, if anything at all, it naturally assumes that it is the sole creator.

Savitri now reveals a deeper secret, the mystery behind creation. Having thus revealed the plan of God she goes on to give evidence of progress through the process of evolution. She further gives a hint as to which way this progress is destined to go.

Death tries to twist the gospel of Peace to dissuade Savitri from changing the earthly laws. He uses truth to obstruct the coming of a greater Truth. But Savitri is determined. She knows her mission and calls the souls of the strong to this new Divine Work.

Savitri now answers to Death as to what is true freedom. It is not conditional nor depends upon situations and deliverance from earthly robes. The free remain free even when in bonds.

Death confronts Savitri with the hard immutable law as the only Truth. He wonders, half-mockingly, if there is any other truth than the hard facts of earthly life. Even if there is something greater called God, the laws of matter still hold.

Savitri now starts revealing one key after another that would reconcile the opposite poles of Existence. She reveals the nature of the One who is everywhere and in all things. This is a great profound wisdom for Death to learn, the first key to the reconciliation of opposites.
