Alokda: The Avatars don’t evolve from one to another. They are special descents that come during critical moments of earth’s evolutionary history to carry it safely from one level to another. They help the transition from one Age to another. After their work is done, they may choose to remain either in a physical body or else stay near the earth on a subtle plane and influence its evolution from there. When the time for the next advent draws near then another special descent takes place to lead the transition. Each descent is unique and takes place in a soul prepared through number of lives for the Divine Advent. It is not Parashuram who becomes or is reborn as Rama though each Avatar comes from the same one Source.
