The Madonna of Might guards the journey of the aspirant on the path as the guardian power.
The Journey’s star
I know the goal, I know the secret route;
I have studied the map of the invisible worlds;
I am the battle’s head, the journey’s star.
She knows the goal and the secret routes. She has studied the map of the invisible worlds. She spearheads the battle against the powers that oppose the soul’s advance as the star, the journey’s star.
Resistance of the world
But the great obstinate world resists my Word,
And the crookedness and evil in man’s heart
Is stronger than Reason, profounder than the Pit,
And the malignancy of hostile Powers
Puts craftily back the clock of destiny
And mightier seems than the eternal Will.
The world resists and opposes the Divine Power. The crookedness and evil in human heart and the malignancy of hostile Powers puts back the clock of destiny through stealth and deception, and seems even mightier than the eternal Will.
Cosmic evil
The cosmic evil is too deep to unroot,
The cosmic suffering is too vast to heal.
The cosmic evil is too deep to root out completely and the cosmic suffering too vast to heal for good.
A few
A few I guide who pass me towards the Light;
A few I save, the mass falls back unsaved;
A few I help, the many strive and fail.
Only a few she can guide and pass towards the Light. Only a few she can save while the mass of men fall back unsaved. Only a few she can help while the many strive and fail.
I do my work
But my heart I have hardened and I do my work:
Slowly the light grows greater in the East,
Slowly the world progresses on God’s road.
But she has steeled her heart and does the work entrusted to her. As a result the light grows greater in the East and the world slowly progresses on the roads that lead towards God.
His seal is on my task
His seal is on my task, it cannot fail:
I shall hear the silver swing of heaven’s gates
When God comes out to meet the soul of the world.”
Yet she knows that God’s seal is on her work and eventually it cannot fail. She carries the certitude of victory and hears opening of the gates of Heaven and the coming of God to meet the soul of the world awakening it to God’s Freedom and Light.
