This higher vital world is stirred by profound energies and forces sublime that draw their impulsion from some deep source. Yet it is a reflected Truth, not the One original Reality and Power.
A friend and yet too great wholly to know,
She walked in their front towards a greater light,
Their leader and queen over their hearts and souls,
One close to their bosoms, yet divine and far.
Death tries to twist the gospel of Peace to dissuade Savitri from changing the earthly laws. He uses truth to obstruct the coming of a greater Truth. But Savitri is determined. She knows her mission and calls the souls of the strong to this new Divine Work.
There are two lines of evolution along which humanity can advance. One is the Asuric line which is primarily towards the capacities of his mental, vital and physical life. Another is the line of the Devas, the godlike climb of man which is a change of human into a diviner, nobler human being.
The more we compare Sri Aurobindo to various other similar or dissimilar thoughts, the more we get confused. We perhaps enter into a cocoon constructed by our ignorant receiving of the profound truths, that have descended from the plane of Truth into the realms of our mortal ignorance and its small, cramped up understanding of life.
Savitri now reveals a deeper secret, the mystery behind creation. Having thus revealed the plan of God she goes on to give evidence of progress through the process of evolution. She further gives a hint as to which way this progress is destined to go.
