Infinite, Eternal, Unthinkable, Alone
All person perished in its namelessness.
There was no second, it had no partner or peer;
Only itself was real to itself.
A pure existence safe from thought and mood,
A consciousness of unshared immortal bliss,
It dwelt aloof in its bare infinite,
One and unique, unutterably sole.
A Being formless, featureless and mute
That knew itself by its own timeless self,
Aware for ever in its motionless depths,
Uncreating, uncreated and unborn,
The One by whom all live, who lives by none,
An immeasurable luminous secrecy
Guarded by the veils of the Unmanifest,
Above the changing cosmic interlude
Abode supreme, immutably the same,
A silent Cause occult, impenetrable,—
Infinite, eternal, unthinkable, alone.

Manifest Thyself More and More Completely
July 10, 1914
O thou who eternally, immutably art, who consentest to Thy becoming in this world that Thou mayst bring into it a new Illumination, a new Impulsion, Thou art here, manifest Thyself more and more completely, always more perfectly; the instrument has given and gives itself to Thee with a fervent adhesion, a total surrender; Thou mayst reduce it to dust or transform it into a sun, it will resist nothing that is Thy Will. In this surrender lies its true strength and its true beatitude.
But why art Thou so considerate with the animality of the body? Is it because it must be given time to adapt itself to the marvellous complexity, the powerful infinity of Thy Force? Is it Thy Will that makes itself gentle and patient, is unwilling to precipitate things, leaves to the elements leisure to adapt themselves?… I mean—is it better thus or is it impossible otherwise? Is there here a particular incapacity which Thou dost tolerate with magnanimity or is this a general law which is an inevitable portion of all that has to be transformed?…
But it matters little what we think about it, since thus it is; the attitude alone is important: Should we fight, should we accept? And it is Thou who dictatest the attitude, it is Thy Wil that determines it at each moment. Why foresee and contrive when it is enough to observe and to give a full adhesion?
The working in the constitution of the physical cells is perceptible: permeated with a considerable amount of force they seem to expand and to become lighter. But the brain is still heavy and asleep…. I unite myself to this body, O divine Master, and cry to Thee: Do not spare me, act with Thy sovereign omnipotence; for in me Thou hast put the will to an entire transfiguration.
[Prayers and Meditations]
True Knowledge
In order to know what the Supramental Realisation will be like, the first step, the first condition is to know what the supramental consciousness is. All those who have been, in one way or another, in contact with it have had some glimpse of the realisation to be. But those who have not, can yet aspire for that realisation, just as they can aspire to get the supramental knowledge. True knowledge means awareness by identity: once you get in touch with the supramental world, you can say something about its descent, but not before. What you can say before is that there will be a new creation upon earth; this you say through faith, since the exact character of it escapes you. And if you are called upon to define realisation, you may declare that, individually speaking, it means the transformation of your ordinary human consciousness into the divine and supramental.

Songs of the Soul: December 26, 2024
Mother Divine, Maa, when confusion prevails and nothing is clear, there is only one thing to do. It is to call Thee and see Thee in all things and everywhere and say Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa.
Maa, when life seems burdensome and meaningless, a purposeless drift or a free fall, there is but one thing to do. It is to summon up all the love in our heart and call Thee Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa.
Maa, when all seems lost and the last flicker of hope is gone, there is but one thing to do. It is to just be in Thy arms and cry Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa.
When suffering, disorder, evil and falsehood seem to surround us as if to deal the last lethal stroke, with all the courage and the last ounce of faith in us and looking straight into the eyes of danger repeat Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa.

The Ears Cannot Hear It
All communication is in fact a communication in consciousness.
The ears hear only a body of sounds and the eyes see an expression on the face. When we hear by the mind, we understand the outer meaning. Human beings often use words to conceal rather than communicate the true intent.
We can also listen through the heart and touch some deeper chord hidden behind the sounds and words. We touch the world of feelings that push the words for expression and drive it towards its secret destination.
But there is a still deeper listening, the true ear that lies behind our ears or the Hearing behind our hearing as the Upanishad puts it. It is the hearing and listening that takes place in and through the soul. It brings with it the true understanding and along with it the gifts of harmony, beauty and peace and light, and makes communication a bridge between the one who speaks and the one who hears.
How can I know what the Mother wants from me, what is Her will?
What the Mother wants most is that we go through life with the right inner attitude, with trust and confidence in Her Grace. In our ignorance we think that it is the outer circumstances that we must choose from as if one set of circumstances are more favourable than others. But in the world as it stands today no single circumstance expresses the Divine Will perfectly. What however is possible and what our main focus should be are our attitudes. At our stage of human evolution what matters most is not what we do but what will bring us closer to the Divine Goal. It is only in the union with the Divine that we can truly know the Divine Will.
Besides this Will is progressive and not something fixed except the fulfilment of Its Purpose. Each moment the universe is recreated and there is a shift in the individual and universal possibilities and their mutual relation. The Divine Will acts in a free and plastic manner taking into account the totality of the individual and the collective. Yet we need to make choices. What we need to do is to be open and receptive in a state of inner quietude refusing the noises of egoistic preferences and clamour of desires. Then wait for a gentle inner impulsion and act applying the highest reason at our disposal act after offering it to the Divine Mother with an aspiration that may all grow beautiful and true.
