This talk is about the nature of Work undertaken by Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, especially with regard to the New Creation and the time taken for transition between the old and the new.
Sri Aurobindo’s yoga is not done for oneself alone but for the Divine. It’s larger aim and scope is eventually not just an individual but a collective transformation. This talk focuses upon some of the processes of this yoga which is meant to have an impact upon the world.
It is the earth that must be saved, it is humanity that must outgrow itself into something beautiful and divine. So shall it be is the great promise. Keeping that promise and assurance ringing in our heart we must fearlessly cross the perilous bridge and leap towards the future, the time taken notwithstanding.
There is a cry the world over pointing at the damage and the harm that we humans have caused to the earth. Several measures are being suggested, but we have to understand the deeper reasons. The Mother and Sri Aurobindo not only foresaw all this, but also shared the vision of the Future.
The Moon occupied an important place in folk lore, myths, art, poetry, mystic literature much before Science began its expeditions. On the 50th anniversary of the first man on the Moon we take up this subject touching upon some of its aspects, especially in view of man’s cosmic travels to the Moon and beyond.
What is this mysterious power we call Nature that enchants the soul? What is her relation with the Supreme? We share some insights on this in the backdrop of a relatively lesser known Indian myth of Mohini, the World-enchantress.
