This is a talk centred around the famous Uttarpara Speech of Sri Aurobindo, which He made after release from prison and where He for the first time spoke publicly of His Yoga and spiritual experiences.
It is a place for meditation and for receiving the Vibration of the Truth which it emits. It is charged. The presence of Sri Aurobindo is palpably felt by one who is sincere.
Perhaps the main reason is that Sri Aurobindo is too much into the Future. He belongs to the Future and such a luminous future that a humanity that tends to cling to its cynicism finds it very discomforting.
This talk by Dr Alok Pandey in Hindi focuses upon few of the unique aspects of Sri Aurobindo's Thought and its relevance for our present times and the future.
This is the concluding chapter of a memoir by Dinendra Kumar Roy (1869-1943), who lived with Sri Aurobindo in Baroda from 1898 to 1900 or 1901. This text first appeared in the journal Sahitya in Bengali in 1911-1912.
