Opening Remarks
The soul of the Avatar is the projection of the Supreme, of the Divine Will in matter. So too the human nature of the Avatar is also shaped in a special way.

Expressing divinity in terrestrial signs
A Mind empowered from Truth’s immutable seat
Was framed for vision and interpreting act
And instruments were sovereignly designed
To express divinity in terrestrial signs.

The Mind of the Avatar is missioned and empowered from Truth’s immutable seat and was designed for truth-vision and acts that interpret the divinity in things. The inner instrument (mind) and the outer instruments designed for receiving and transmitting the impulsions of the world were all built in a special way so as to express divinity in earthly life and thereby change this earthly life little by little into a life divine.

Pressure of the new descent
Outlined by the pressure of this new descent
A lovelier body formed than earth had known.

Her bodily frame itself bore the touch and pressure of the New Consciousness and was lovelier than the earth had ever known.

Crescent horn of a gold moon
As yet a prophecy only and a hint,
The glowing arc of a charmed unseen whole,
It came into the sky of mortal life
Bright like the crescent horn of a gold moon
Returning in a faint illumined eve.

Even as a child there were bright hints of the fullness that She carried within. These hints entered her thoughts as if from a high and full spiritual consciousness entering an illumined cave that Her body became holding the New Light.

Infant heart of the deep-caved world plan
At first glimmering like an unshaped idea
Passive she lay sheltered in wordless sleep,
Involved and drowned in Matter’s giant trance,
An infant heart of the deep-caved world-plan
In cradle of divine inconscience rocked
By the universal ecstasy of the suns.

A vague hint was felt like an unshaped idea as Her Soul entered the womb of matter and lay in trance due to the descent. The heart of God had entered the cave of darkness where the original plan lay. There, in the cradle of Inconscience it was cradled for a while by the universal ecstasies of the Supramental Truth.

Transcendent birth’s glorious seed
Some missioned Power in the half-wakened frame
Nursed a transcendent birth’s dumb glorious seed
For which this vivid tenement was made.

Her Higher Self nursed the glorious seed of this transcendent’s birth for which her bodily frame was made.

Link of soul with form
But soon the link of soul with form grew sure;
Flooded was the dim cave with slow conscient light,
The seed grew into a delicate marvellous bud,
The bud disclosed a great and heavenly bloom.

The soul formed the link with form and the cave of matter was flooded with conscious light. The seed began to grow into a tender beautiful bud and the bud itself disclosed a great heavenly flower.

A mightier race
At once she seemed to found a mightier race.

Her very presence seems to indicate a new diviner race yet to arrive upon earth.
