At the Feet of The Mother

For the spirit is eternal and unmade
And not by thinking was its greatness born,
And not by thinking can its knowledge come.
It knows itself and in itself it lives,
It moves where no thought is nor any form.
After the prolonged early experiments with simple living forms, Nature started creating or rather evolving more and more complex forms. These animal forms had not only matter and life but also an early rudimentary mind that was at the service of the impulse to live.
The 2nd December program, where the young and old, children and elders, students and inmates of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and the SAICE participate together is to remind us of this tremendous work that we as children of earth in our bodies and children of Divine Mother in our souls have inherited.
... we rejoice, Mother, that You are likely to come again in a supramental form, but, Mother, help us to develop some little supramental sensibility to see You, to feel You, to serve You, to be tolerably worthy disciples of You.
Death continues his gospel which is essentially the materialists denial of all that is high and beautiful and true. There is a truth of matter but matter is not the sole truth. This is the secret Death seems to be unaware of.

For all must be done as a sacrifice, all activities must have the One Divine for their object and the heart of their meaning [...] The Yogin’s aim in the practical sciences ... should be to enter into the ways of the Divine and his processes [...] The Yogin’s aim in the Arts should not be a mere aesthetic, mental or vital gratification, but, seeing the Divine everywhere...

Integral Yoga is a many-sided evolutionary journey towards the Divine. It is not just about liberation of the soul to a higher Divine status but most importantly a liberation and transformation of the field of Nature through which the soul moves and experiences so as to eventually embody a higher Supernature.
"...whereas the origin of individualisation being in the Supreme Himself, the ego is only a passing deformation, necessary for the moment, which will disappear when its utility is over, when the Truth-Consciousness will be established."
If I start studying, it must be taken up as seriously as I did with the sadhana.
Study cannot take the same or greater importance than sadhana [...] If the sadhana were active then study can be done in the spare time i.e., in times not given to work or meditation.
There is a purpose in this slow and random start. There is a reason why the soul is perennially tied to creation and its fate. It is not an accident but a choice, not a purposeless game but a conscious Will that has gone into creation.
